Why “Paradigm Farms Equine Lifecare?”

We are glad that you are here and we want you to feel right at home with us. Come on in and stay awhile while we answer some questions about us for you. One of our most frequently asked questions is about our farm name.

Melissa and I hail from widely different backgrounds. Melissa owned a very successful corporate recruiting company in suburban middle Tennessee. I was a life long family farmer from central Ontario, Canada. When we married we made the decision to live our lives in tune with our shared passions, horses and agriculture. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines paradigm as "a philosophical or theoretical framework of any kind." I thought the name Paradigm Farms was perfect as the farm embodies our philosophical framework for our lives.

Watching and helping one another love and care for our land and animals in a synergistic way is the ONLY way for us to live. Melissa and I choose to do things together. We are here for one another first and foremost, and that is the foundation upon which family farming – and this farm – is built! We believe that making a good living is only a part of living a good life. We choose to act at all times as stewards of the earth, and our pledge to you and each other is to leave our piece of creation in better shape than we found it.

Your horses are an important part of our life. As Melissa mentioned on another page, loving and caring for your retired horses is a centerpiece operation at our farm. Melissa's father thought that Equine Lifecare was the perfect name to describe our approach with the horses and we agreed. So now you know the meaning behind the name.
